Analog channel
Analog channel card is designed to allow recording from the following type of devices:-
- Analog Trunk Line – Also known as analog central office line (CO line). This type of line from your telco (telecommunication service provider company) can be connected to your phone system (key telephone system or Private Automated Branch eXchange) or directly to Single Line Telephone (the type you normally use at home and is sold in stores).
- Centrex Line – from your telco is normally same electrically as your analog trunk line. The telco normally just provide some extra service on top of analog trunk lines that is usually required by businesses (example transfer call, DID, etc.).
- Analog Extension – is the type of extension you can commonly find in PBXs. It is also available in Keyphone Systems but not as common. Analog extension allows you to connect standard phone devices like Single Line Telephone (your normal home phone), fax machines, conference phones, FXS, FXO, etc.
- Phone Handset – Handset recording is a cheaper alternative to digital channel logger, or if your brand of digital keyphone is not supported by the digital channel card. However, it has its limitations and should be used only if you can accept it. (Behavior of Voice Activated Recording)
- Any Audio Source – Walkie talkie conversation, radio broadcast, etc.
For our telephone recorder kit, you can record from different type of devices at the same time on a single logger card. Device 1 to 3 will be set to Phone setting while device 4 and 5 will need to use Audio setting.
