I Want Screen Pop For My Agents
When you look for a Screen Pop solution, it is first important to know the following in order to reduce the chance of ending up with something that is not what you need.
- How many agents do you have.
- What information do you need the screen pop to show.
- Based on what information do you want to trigger the screen pop. Caller ID, Called ID or User ID?
- How much does screen pop benefit your business.
- Etc.
Screen Pop is cheap and easy if you run a call center using Outlook (or something similar) and agents use analog lines connected to modems to detect the caller ID. However, in any of the following situations, you will have to put in a lot of effort to avoid getting into a trouble with the implementation:-
- Your software or CRM doesn’t support Computer Telephony Integration directly.
- Your phone system or PBX doesn’t support CTI.
- Each of your callers can call you using different numbers, so identifying them by caller ID is not helpful.
- Your PBX support 3rd party CTI but your CRM support 1st party CTI.
- You run a call center service and it is important to know which number your caller dialed.
- Etc.
